Purrfect Shutters Inc. ("Purrfect Shutters," "we," "us," or "our") sells, measures, and installs custom window coverings in Southern California. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to our website at purrfectshutters.com, our advertising, and the information we collect when you contact us or hire us for work.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect only what we need to quote, schedule, and complete your job:

Contact information — your name, phone number, email address, and service address.
Project information — window measurements, photographs of your windows or rooms, product and color selections, and notes from your consultation.
Transaction information — invoices, estimates, deposits, and payment records. We do not store full credit or debit card numbers; card payments are processed by our payment processor.
Communications — text messages, emails, and voicemails you exchange with us.
Website and advertising information — if you visit our website or interact with our ads, we and our advertising partners may collect your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and similar information through cookies and comparable technologies.

HOW WE COLLECT IT

We collect information directly from you when you call, text, or email us, fill out a form on our website, submit a lead form shown in one of our ads, or meet with us for an in-home consultation. We also receive information from advertising platforms such as Google when you respond to one of our ads.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

To prepare estimates and invoices and to answer your questions.
To order materials from our fabricators and to schedule and perform measurement and installation.
To process payments and maintain business and tax records.
To provide warranty service and to follow up after installation.
To send you occasional marketing messages about our products and services, and to request a review of our work. You can opt out at any time (see Your Choices below).
To measure and improve our advertising, including the activity described under Advertising below.

HOW WE SHARE IT

We share personal information only as needed to run our business:

Manufacturers and fabricators who build your window coverings to your measurements.
Installers and subcontractors who perform work at your property.
Service providers such as our payment processor, invoicing and scheduling software, and email and text messaging providers. Advertising platforms as described below.
Legal and professional recipients — our accountant, our insurer, or a government agency, where required by law or to establish or defend a legal claim. We do not sell your personal information for money.

ADVERTISING

We advertise online, including through Google. To make our ads more relevant and to avoid showing ads to people who have already hired us, we may upload contact information such as your email address or phone number to advertising platforms in a hashed, non-readable form. Those platforms match it against their own records and use it to show or withhold our ads. The platforms are contractually restricted from using the information for any other purpose.

Under California law, this activity may be considered "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may opt out at any time by contacting us using the details below, and we will remove you from those lists.

TEXT MESSAGES

If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about your quote, your order, scheduling, or installation. We may also occasionally text you about our services or to ask for a review. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from us.

YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS

You may ask us at any time to:

Tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we have used it.
Correct information that is inaccurate.
Delete your personal information, except where we must keep it for tax, warranty, legal, or accounting reasons.
Stop sending you marketing emails or texts, or remove you from advertising lists.

To make a request, contact us using the details at the end of this policy. We will respond within 45 days. We will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide you a lower quality of service because you exercised any of these rights.

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

We keep project records, invoices, and related correspondence for as long as needed to honor our product warranties and to meet tax and recordkeeping obligations — generally at least four years, and longer for records tied to a lifetime warranty. We delete or de-identify information we no longer need.

SECURITY

We use reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect your information, and we limit access to the people who need it to do their work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

CHILDREN

Our services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be posted on our website before they take effect.
